When you find out that someone doesn’t think you’re as great as you think you are, your pride turns to fear. When you let fear take its grip, your fears lead to insecurity. When you live in insecurity, you create relational trouble everywhere you go, and it destroys your life.
So what is the answer? Surrender But how do we surrender? – Trust
We let God and God alone be our Defender.
Psalm 18:1-3 (GNB) “How I love you, Lord! You are my defender. The Lord is my protector; He is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with Him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; He defends me and keeps me safe. I call to the Lord, and He saves me from my enemies. Praise the Lord!”
We must believe that God always has our best interests at heart!
Being in the public eye, we are constantly susceptible to pride and insecurity. One day we will do something really great in front of a lot of people, and the next day we’ll do something that goes horribly wrong. Our job is to be prepared, do our best and then be able to let go and trust that God did His good work through us.
