Song of the Week 2019 – #5 – “When We See Him In His Glory” (feat. Markita Knight)

This song was written by my daughter Emmie Walker and below she writes what inspired the song. We at TWM pray it blesses you deeply!

I wrote this song in a season where many loved ones were navigating life-altering diagnoses, uncertainties, and hardships. I was asking God why these circumstances were so painful, and instead of giving me a simple answer to this question that was so restricted by a focus on this present life,- He gave me the perfect peace of an eternity with Him, untouched by any evil, suffering or pain. This song declares the hope of that blessed day and the anticipation of finally seeing Him face to face in all joy and beauty.

Special thank you to Hwang Gyoo for making me the great Haseesa TW-1 acoustic/electric guitar I played in this video! (http://m.haseesa.com/)

Revelation 21:3-5 “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

Revelation 4:8 “And day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”

Psalm 90:12 “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

1 John 3:2 “But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”

The "Song of the Week 2019" campaign is a new song, released every week for the majority of 2019. The motto for this project is, “Share a Song, Share your Faith.” It's our prayer that these songs will be a resource for the Church and a way for individuals to share their hope in Jesus.
