I had the privilege of growing up in a revival called The Jesus Movement. One of the hallmarks of this revival was the expectation & hope that Jesus would return any day. Toward the end of the gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, we’re warned that people are going about their lives with no awareness or urgency that the second coming of Jesus is near. I see this tendency in my own life so I wrote this song.
