Song of the Week - #7 - "Let Your Kingdom Come" - Tommy Walker

This song is a prayer for God’s kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. I remember my pastor Mark Pickerill once saying “when we pray for God’s kingdom to come, we’re praying that the activities of heaven will start happening here on earth."

What a wide, freeing, purpose-filled truth this is! Worship is happening in heaven-let’s worship! Heaven is full of beauty-let’s create beautiful things! Everyone is loved and known in heaven-let’s be lovers of people and lovers of God.

The lyrics to this song were co-written with my good friend Craig Aven. Special thanks to Linda McCrary, Leon McCrary and Kesha Shantrel on bgvs, Jonté Moore on B3, the Christian Assembly Generations Gospel Choir and the St. Stephen Baptist Church's Chancel Choir from La Puente, CA.
