With this new song I want to take the opportunity and great privilege to honor my father, Fred Walker. While not perfect, my dad was and is a faithful father and follower of Jesus. I am so grateful for a dad who introduced me to Jesus and who has lived his life on this earth for the Life that is yet to come.

John 6:31 ”Jesus said to them, ‘Come away with me. Let us go alone to a quiet place and rest for a while.’” One of the most cherished, amazing, and powerful truths that distinguishes Christianity from other faiths is that the God we worship invites us into an intimate and loving relationship with Himself.

This song was written by my daughter Emmie Walker and below she writes what inspired the song. We at TWM pray it blesses you deeply!: “I wrote this song in a season where many loved ones were navigating life-altering diagnoses, uncertainties, and hardships.”

This song was written with a sense of determination to move FORWARD by faith into the next season of my life. The older I get, the easier it is to want my life to be safe, comfortable, and predictable. But that’s not God’s plan! The God we worship is a God who loves the new and He’s all about bringing newness to our lives and the lives of those around us.

Psalms 90:12 Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. To count the number of our days is to live our lives with an eternal perspective or you could say - to live this life for the next. This way of seeing our days changes everything.
