I originally wrote this song in 1996 to accompany my pastor’s, Mark Pickerill, sermon with the same name. I am so humbled and grateful that God has chosen to use it as one of His instruments to reveal the Father's love and bring His healing. One of the greatest truths of Christian faith is that the God of the Bible is a personal God who knows us and makes Himself known. At the core of who we are, more than anything else, we long to be known and loved and that's exactly what we are. Through Jesus Christ, God has provided the way for us to enjoy this personal relationship with Him!
Lord, I pray that you will touch people on the deepest level through this song and video! Remind each of us that we are never forgotten, unwanted, or unloved no matter who we are, who has rejected us, or what we have done. Amen.
